My new baby!

I was on my way this morning, bringing the boys to school, and then to go do some grocery shopping, when on my left I say this cardboard sign nail to a pole. My first thought was...it's a bit early to be doing a garage sale!!! But I strained to read the sign still, I say strain, because I wasn't wearing my glasses...lol. But the sign read "FREE KITTENS"!!! LOL...I looked at hubby and said "did you see that sign"?????? He already had a smile on his face, and said "YES...we'll go back after we drop off the boys".
So after a quick Tim Hortons breakfast, and the boys both at school...we were on our way to check out these little fur balls! We were almost there, and hubby says to me "wouldn't you just die if they had a black one"? He knows I LOVE black kitties! :)
So we pull in the driveway, he goes up to the door, knocks...and then knocks again....no answer...so he starts coming back...I felt a little sad, I just wanted to SEE the babies! Yea, right! He gets almost back to the truck and the front door of the house opens...and he waves for me to come in.
I get to the door where he was already talking to the wonderfully nice lady, he says "they have ONE black kitten left"!!!! We both started laughing...and we chatted with the lady for a few minutes...and then left with MY new baby!!! LOL...

He has no name yet...so does anyone have any ideas...before my son names him Optimus Prime!!!

How cute! he reminds me of our Smokie....he looked so much like yours when he was tiny...our son named him but I think he should have been called Shadow as he follows us everywhere we go in the house...

He is precious Naomi!!!
And I loved your entire story! I'm so happy for you.

LOL about the name. We deal with that here too. Although, Caleb would probably vote for Batman as the logical choice in this case!!!

Ok... hear me out before you click the back button....

You got him Easter Week right? Well, that bright white spot on his chest just reminds me of the bright light coming from the tomb on Easter morning shining through the darkness all about...

ok... HOLD ON!!!

Now, Easter sounds goofy. Paschal is a stretch. I was thinking of the verse "why do you seek the living among the dead" from Luke.

Ok... Long story short... my suggestion is ... Luke!

This coming from a woman whose dog is named after a Lord Of The Rings Hobbit. You can't win them all!

I like Luke, too. Of course, I named a son Luke and he would be thrilled to know that a sweet kitty has his name too! We'd have to have updates and pictures and more update! LOL

What a lil' sweetheart he is!! I love his white patch.
The first name that came to mind was Felix.
Felix the Cat,
The Wondeful Wonderful Cat.
Whenever he gets in a fix,
he reaches into his bag of trix,
Felix the the cat.
Man, I must be old if I remember that one! :> )
